How To Make A Margin Between Posts?

Wednesday, June 16, 2010

I have been experimenting how to adjust or put margin between posts. It does'nt look nice if two posts are very close to each other or very far from eacht other. So, I made changes in my HTML. After some time of googling I found this code: margin-bottom:2.0em. Insert this code in the CSS

1. Open Layout
2. Make a back-up of your template
3. Click EDIT HTML
4. Find this part in the CSS: MAIN
5. Look for the word post
It looks like this:
.post {
margin:0px 0px 0px 0px;
padding; 0px 0px 0px 0px;
line-height: 1.6em;
text-aling: justify;
 You can adjust the size maybe 1.6em, 1.8em and so forth.

That's it so easy if you know, but if you don't then you will get irritated like me. And always asking why this doesn't work. Questions??? am here.

If your blog has been approved, you may be elligible for Grab Bag tasks. Grab bag tasks are tasks that meet certain criteria and that other bloggers declined or have since expired. You can login to your account ad see if there are grab bag icons near your list of approved blogs (go to “Blogs List/Search Status”. I already received 2 tasks from this bag. One task two weeks ago and the other task was last Wednesday. I hope to see this bag everyday. I like Blogsvertise because you make a post of 100+ words and 3 links in it. The task price varies from 5-10 dollars. You are given 5 days to complete or submit the task. Last month I had 3 tasks of 9 dollars. That was not much but at least I had. They are also not strict with the grammar unlike other blog advertising. So far, never had a rejected post from them.
So, register your blogs now at BLogsvertise and start earning money.

How To Make A Scrollbar?

To make a scrollbar is very easy.

Please follow the steps carefully:
1. Open your dashboard then click Design, and then click the tab EDIT HTML.
2. Make a back-up of your template. In case changes don't work you can always go back to your old template.
3. Scroll down, and find the id. The id looks like this:
id='Label1' locked='false' title='Labels' type='Label'/>
The high lighted color in red is the id of my Labels.
Remember your id. I put the scrollbar on my Labels (the title).
4. Find the word SIDEBAR in your Html and write under the word SIDEBAR the one in pink color.
/* ----- SIDEBAR ----- Blogger template design by */

/* Sidebar Content */
#Label1 {

Below is the scrollbar for the Blog List:
/* ----- SIDEBAR ----- Blogger template design by */

/* Sidebar Content */
# BlogList1 ul{

5. Click PREVIEW
As you can see the difference is only the id.
The title Labels, the id is Label1
The title Blog List, the id is BlogList1
You can change the height of the bar, maybe 400px, 300px etc.
The rest you do the same. Give me a yell if you can't.

How To Get Offers from Advertisers

Saturday, June 12, 2010

If you haven't received any offers yet. Here are some tips to get advertisers to notice your blog.
1) Make sure the pricing settings on your blog are competitive.
2) Add a compelling description to your blog.
3) Add a site wide disclosure policy to your blog which will allow you to accommodate both site-wide and in post disclosure. Once you have a disclosure policy page hosted on your blog, change the settings on the edit blog page for disclosure type to 'Site wide or In post'.
4) Lower the minimum advertiser rating setting on your blog.
5) Allow adult content if you are comfortable with it.
6) Work on the long term goal of increasing your PR and backlink scores by writing compelling content which generates interest and readership.
Once you get your first offer and you submit a post that gets approved, the scores on your blog will change from N/A and that will help even more advertisers find your blog. In order to get that first offer, you might want to lower your pricing and do a cheap post just so you can get the invitation and approval scores on your blog to jump to 100% which will make you stand out in the matches list that advertisers see. After you get your first few posts approved, you can try changing the price on your blog again. But remember, it is an open and competitive marketplace. Play with the numbers until you find what is right for you.

Also, another big issues that advertisers have with bloggers is the lack of fluency in English. Many advertisers are unwilling to accept posts with grammar and spelling errors.
So, if English is not your first language and you have a Wordpress blog, you may want to check out this plug in to help with spelling and grammar issues.

In addition to these tips, you must have a domain name. I can say that my blog "My Life in Holland"  earns more than my other blog. My blog "Me in the Dutch Society" is a freehosted blog. Advertisers like only hosted blog or blog with its domain name. Furthermore, do not use JUMP BREAK in your post like Continue Reading, Read more...etc. Advertisers want to see the whole post and links in one page.

Good luck and Wish you more opps!
